Optional analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It helps us understand visits and the pages readers use. Google receives browser/device information, a cookie identifier and page information; the connection also exposes your IP address to Google. We do not send calculator entries, saved notes, email addresses or a user ID as analytics fields.
We request analytics storage only. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain denied; Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the tag configuration. Our manual page-view record uses the canonical page URL without query strings or fragments, and omits the referring URL. Your browser or extensions can block analytics even after consent.
Your choice and withdrawal
You can reject analytics without losing access to articles or tools. The “Cookie settings” control in the footer opens these choices again. Withdrawing consent disables further collection through our integration, clears this site’s Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to unload the tag. Withdrawal does not erase information already received by Google.
A choice is remembered on this domain for up to 180 days. It is not shared with the other publications. If storage is blocked or you clear site data, the choice may need to be made again. Analytics cookies, when enabled, are configured for up to 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit. Browser restrictions can shorten those periods.
Calculators, notes and downloads
Calculations run in your browser. Inputs and saved notes are not uploaded by the tools. Choosing Save may store the records listed below on this device. A downloaded calendar, image or calculation file is saved by your browser; importing it into another service is your choice.

Hosting and external services
Cloudflare serves the site and handles network requests. Hosting and security services receive request information such as IP address, URL, user agent and timing. This is distinct from optional Google Analytics. We have not configured a separate application database of calculator inputs.
Fonts, interface scripts and editorial images are served with this publication. Following an external link takes you to the linked provider, whose own privacy practices apply. The optional newsletter signup described below uses Klaviyo.
Contact, access and deletion
Use the verified privacy contact above when available to ask about access, correction, deletion or other applicable rights. You can delete locally saved tool records using the tool’s clear option or your browser’s site-data settings. If you contact a publication by email, your mail provider and the receiving provider process that correspondence under their own arrangements.
